An Efficient Selection of Psychodrama`s Protagonist

Abstract

|
This study is to inquire into an efficient method to select psychodrama`s protagonist. The questionnaire survey was carried out for 100 participants who had an experience of participation in a psychodrama workshop more than once. And additionally, the participants` preference in the selecting methods of the protagonist was examined out, and also the strengths and the weakness of the selecting methods were examined out. In view of the position of the group member and the producer, both the group member and the producer took the autonomy, tele, and sympathy as an important standard for the selecting method. It was found out that they had additional consulting time for the group members who were not selected as a protagonist, possibly dazed and hurt. And also they adopted a method to select members more than one as protagonists in a session. In conclusion, both the selecting method and the handling method of the selection result were being performed by the fundamental principes of psychodrama.
